Rick was born in Minneapolis, MN. and started singing at a very young age. He first started singing in church choir and then school choir. He credits his Jr. High School choir teacher as being a great inspiration.

Growing up he loved the music and vocal harmonies of bands like the Beatles. Music started changing and Led Zeppelin broke out into the scene and Rick was hooked. Robert Plant sang like no one else. Freddie Murcury of Queen was also a big influence as were Steve Perry of Journey and David Coverdale of White Snake. They all had such incredible range and presence in their vocals.

Rick's first band was called Rich Kid doing top 40 rock. Over the years Rick played the Minneapolis / St.Paul club scene doing material from classic rock to heavy metal. Other bands to his credit are The Mob, Teaser, Panix, Challenger, Vendetta, Decade, Hardtail and now Epic. With such a wide range of talent in Epic, Rick is excited about bringing quality entertainment to the stage.
